Our business is based on producing, distributing and trading energy and related products in Northern Europe.
You will join our wind power technology department, which is part of Engineering, a technical knowledge centre at the forefront of the development within energy and environment. At present, Engineering’s staff of 450 employees includes 400 engineers.
Together with your 16 colleagues in the department you will primarily focus on turbine components within mechanical engineering. We have extensive knowledge of wind turbine technology, contracts and project management, eg feasibility analysis, due diligence transactions, design reviews, tendering, etc.
You will be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or at Teglholmen in Copenhagen. You must expect a number of travels in Denmark and abroad, ie to our sites in Northern Europe.
Areas of responsibility
As a qualified Sub-project Manager you are responsible for the supply of wind turbines in relation to one of our wind farm projects. You coordinate the supply, both technically and commercially, with the other sub-supplies
Furthermore, your primary tasks are to:
- participate in tendering, negotiation and purchase of wind turbines
- prepare project time schedules, participate in budgeting and QA, eg inspections
- manage project teams of engineering specialists and inspectors
- follow up on budgets and financial issues
- report progress and identify relevant risks.
Your profile
You are educated as an engineer and have extensive experience with project management from your previous positions.
Both knowledge of FIDIC and experience in the wind farm industry will be most advantageous; however, these are not requirements.
Dependent on your experience track record, you will either be heading an activity or assisting an experienced colleague from the department on your first assignment.
You speak and write English fluently.
It is essential that you are able to make a quick survey of your area of responsibility in relation to a project and grasp your role within our value chain in time. You must also be able to meet both the financial and technical responsibilities associated with the position.
Additionally, you must be able to cooperate well with both your colleagues in cross-functional teams and with your other business partners. It is essential that you are prepared to spare with your colleagues and share your specific knowledge with them.
