We have big expansion plans for our Alberta operations. Along with big plans comes big opportunity. You will play a crucial role in achieving TOTAL’s goal of becoming a leading producer in the Alberta oilsands.

Our newly created Sustainable Development department is seeking a Student to commence a 4 month work term with the possibility of an extension. This person will report to the Climate Change & Strategy Lead, and work with the Climate Change group to provide assistance in a number of areas, including:

- Monitor emerging climate change issues and provide updates/briefing notes on energy efficiency, business response to climate change issues and regulatory changes, CCS projects in Canada and International

- Monitor organizations and websites involved in climate change issues and provide updates and summaries of activities. Including CMC, NETL, IEA, WCI, NRTEE, ccs101.ca, PEW Center, etc.

- Review climate change, energy efficiency and new technologies reports, studies and prepare briefing notes and table of documents

- Review and keep track of government initiatives. Including Alberta Energy Efficiency Act, CCS Network, Canada and US collaboration in fuel standards

- Support ICO2N/OSLI and other committee work
