Strategic Electrical Engineer - Christchurch

Combine your Hydro Generation industry experience, proven strategic capability and engineering background in this unique and important role.

Reporting to the Engineering Strategy Manager you will provide electrical engineering advice and support to both internal and external parties, in the development and realisation of new initiatives and strategic developments.  You will also provide evaluation, risk analysis and identification of potential problem areas.

This is an important role as it provides direction to the Asset Management Team and will ensure that Meridian's operational and compliance risks are well managed, that asset capability meets Meridian's business needs, our operational costs are optimised and asset value is not eroded.

As well as your Engineering qualification to degree level and significant industry experience, you will need strong commercial and financial analysis skills and experience as well as proven project management experience.
