Strategic Buyer, Hamburg, Germany

My client is a leading global manufacturer with over 20 years experience in the design, manufacturing and installation of wind turbines. They are looking for a talented Strategic Buyer to join their team in Hamburg.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking a talented individual to join their team in Germany as a Strategic Buyer. You will utilise your background within the wind industry to procure production materials and technical components for my client on an international scale. There is a large emphasis on maintaining key relations with existing clients whilst proactively sourcing new ones. This will include all aspects of sourcing, from market analysis to the negotiations and closing of contracts. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading and ambitious company within the wind space in an exciting and fast paced role.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Evaluating offers and sticking to budgets
• ·         Support and monitoring of the procurement process from the inquiry to the supply
• ·         Drive the performance of existing suppliers and qualify new suppliers based on cost, quality, and timely delivery measures
• ·         Qualification of strategic key suppliers on global basis, from market analysis to the conclusion contracts
• ·         Optimize the material and supplier portfolio
• ·         Procurement of processing materials and technical components on a project basis
• ·         Careful consideration of contracts with regards to cost targets
• ·         Both support and initiate projects for cost reduction
• ·         Implement and execute defined cost roadmaps for key suppliers

Education:-

• ·         Electrical, Civil or Mechanical engineering

Core Requirements:-

• At least 1 years experience with a proven track record in procurement within the Wind Industry
• Experience of negotiating contracts with international companies

• ·         Excellent organisational skills
• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Strong team communication and analytical skills

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results

 Key Skills:-

Procurement or sourcing or purchasing, mechanical or electrical or civil engineering, experience within the wind industry, mechanical and electrical parts, sourcing of components
