Species on the Edge People Engagement Officer

Starting salary: £35,039

Contract: 35 hours, Temporary position (4.5 years fixed term)

The People Engagement (PE) Officer has lead responsibility for delivery and development of the SotE People Engagement Strategy and action plan. The postholder will work with partners and officers to deliver a progamme of activities which aims to increase engagement, widen participation and empower communities in species conservation. The engagement plan has a particular focus on increasing involvement in marginalised groups and people who have fewer opportunities in life as a result of their location, gender, ethnicity or physical abilities.

The postholder will have a strategic role in delivering partnership approaches to People Engagement both across the 8 partner organisations and with wider community stakeholders, and to identifying and developing opportunities for cross programme working e.g. cross programme volunteering and training opportunities.
