Job Purpose:
- My job is to help and sustain the natural heritage of Wales. I will do this by contributing to the delivery of NRW’s responsibilities and duties for protected species.
Job Specific Criteria
Essential criteria
- A degree or equivalent in a relevant environmental subject or relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of the ecology and conservation of, and approaches to mitigation suitable for the range of species protected by wildlife legislation and a working knowledge of relevant legislation and its application
- Good written and spoken communication and presentational skills, with the ability to write clearly for a wide range of target audiences.
- The ability to negotiate and work with a wide range of people, including landowners, partner organisations and the public.
- Show initiative and be enterprising but also demonstrate the ability to work effectively in team/ collaborative situations.
- The ability to currently and legally drive a car in the UK.
