The Specialist, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) will provide technical support to field offices in DRR and CCA, which will include training, mentoring, proposal development and design of DRR projects. The Specialist will assist in the evaluations of DRR and CCA programs; support knowledge management projects; prepare lessons learned; coordinate with working groups; respond to emergencies.
Bachelors degree; Masters in Education, Livelihoods, International Relations, Risk Audit; Fluency in English, excellent writing skills; ability to speak French or Spanish a plus; 3 years DRR or Emergency response experience; Work experience in international development; 3 years field experience; 3 years NGO experience; Proven experience in training; cross cultural skills; working knowledge of international mechanisms on DRR and CCA; Ability to travel 60%; work in field for up to 3 months at a time.
