Under the direction of the South Coast Office Director, the Senior Project Manager will work on coastal issues involving land use, planning, public health, sustainable agriculture, energy and climate, air and water quality, and environmental justice. This job requires extensive independent grassroots organizing, strategic planning and problem-solving, relationship building, communication with thought leaders, policy analysis and interpretation, and managing, multiple projects in a fast-paced, often quickly changing environment. This position requires flexibility to meet the external demands of the job and will require working some evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will have significant diverse experience and education centered on conservation issues, public outreach, and change management.
Responsibilities: The Senior Project Manager will build and manage networks with citizens, businesses, partner organizations, and public officials to respond to specific threats to environmental resources. This work requires:
The successful candidate must demonstrate a solid history and passion for environmental advocacy work with potential to represent the Conservation League and working with the public, elected officials and media.

Work Environment: This position requires performing work-related tasks in a variety of environments and may include remote, on-site office, and external events.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
