Sourcing Team Leader, Trubbach, Switzerland,

My client is a world leading technology and equipment supplier within the solar industry, and are looking for a Team Leader in their procurement department to join their European team based in Trubbach, Switzerland.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking a highly experienced individual to lead their 3^rd party sourcing team. With an extensive background in purchasing/sourcing within the solar industry, the successful candidate will lead the team and oversee all 3^rd party sourcing for my client on a global scale. You will be reporting directly to the CEO located in Switzerland, sourcing all mechanical and electrical parts and maintaining key relations with their existing clients as well as pursuing new ones. You will oversee all aspects of 3^rd party sourcing, from market analysis to the negotiations and closing of contracts. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an established name within the solar industry in a hands on and highly influential capacity.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Drive the performance of existing suppliers and qualify new suppliers based on cost, quality, and timely delivery measures
• ·         Advancement of the existing supplier network
• ·         Qualification of strategic key suppliers on global basis, from market analysis to the conclusion contracts
• ·         Optimize the material and supplier portfolio
• ·         Procurement of processing units and systems on a project basis
• ·         Negotiate contracts with careful consideration to cost targets
• ·         Initiate and support projects for cost reduction
• ·         Take responsibility for sourcing whilst ensuring that budgets are not exceeded
• ·         Implement and execute defined cost roadmaps for key suppliers

Education:-

• ·         Engineering or economics background and qualification in sourcing

Core Requirements:-

• At least 5 years experience with a proven track record in global sourcing within the Solar Industry
• Experience of negotiating contracts with international companies

• ·         Excellent management skills
• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Fluency in German
• ·         Advanced knowledge of SAP-R3/MM
• ·         Strong team communication and analytical skills

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
