Description

My client enables energy conversion through the construction of solar thermal power plants. They developed one of the first European parabolic trough power plants in Europe and have a strong presence in the solar thermal sector in Europe. The client covers all of the important business sectors within the value-added chain of solar thermal power plants: From project development to project financing, technology, power plant construction and power plant investments.

A position has become available for a solar thermal project manager based out of Germany to work on large scale solar power plants.  Working as part of a very well respected technical team you will be expected to work autonomously on occasion and therefore will need to have previous experience of working as a solar Thermal technician in the solar thermal market.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working on sites, assessing capacity, foreseeing and addressing potential hurdles in relation to electrical engineering within the context of building the solar thermal installation
  • Explaining intricate designs to the clients
  • Working closely with the sales team and other photovoltaic systems designers to ensure installations are designed, built and delivered to spec
  • Travelling frequently to deal with electrical installations on site

 

Skills and qualifications needed:

  • Experience of testing and design of thermal solar systems
  • 3 years management experience in electrical engineering solar thermal context
  • A keen interest in the solar thermal sector with in-depth knowledge of the key players
  • On Site Technical Solar thermal Skills
  • Understanding of grid connected and off grid solar systems
  • General knowledge of different types of solar modules
  • Fluent in German
  • The ability to work in the EU
