Solar Thermal Engineer, South East England

My client is a global consultancy with a strong presence in the solar thermal market across Europe and beyond. They are currently looking to hire a solar thermal engineer for a position in their renewable energy division. The role requires a high level of analytical and technical ability so they are looking for someone with a history of due diligence analysis and resource analysis to play a prominent role in the growth of the renewable business. The role also requires candidates from a research and development or consultancy background.

The new staff member will have project management responsibilities as well as assist in business development. S/he will provide technical strength in solar technologies including resourcing analysis.

Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:

• Project managing all aspects of installation
• Undertake business development for the department through client meetings
• Carry out due diligence analysis
• Undertaking resource analysis

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in solar installations
• Minimum MSc degree - preferably in a Renewables discipline
• A good understanding of consultancy services
• A background working with solar thermal technologies
• Experience in with due diligence analysis and resourcing analysis
• Exposure to CSP (Concentrating Solar Power)
• Extensive knowledge of ground based solar installations
• Location flexibility is essential
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
