My client is a successful European solar PV company. They have had an excellent year so far in 2010 and gained some good key clients. They are therefore very pleased to be bringing on board a further Key Account Manager to work in their office in Germany.

Key responsibilities of this role will be:
- · Managing key accounts of the company both in Germany and across German speaking Europe
- · Dealing with client queries and after-sales customer support
- · You will also be responsible for some direct sales to new and existing customers
- · Generating, qualifying and converting sales leads
- · Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Sales in order to give regular update on your progress with clients
- · Achieve the best possible profit margins wherever possible
Peripheral responsibilities will also include:
- · Attending trade fairs as a company representative
- · Passing any leads outside of your remit to the relevant Sales managers elsewhere in the European business
- · Helping junior members of staff with general training issues
- · Explaining products to clients
- · Produce reports and market analysis from time to time relating to your clients
Essential experience requirements:
- · 2-3 years’ direct BTB sales or key account management experience with German clients (working in the German language)
- · Experience of generating, qualifying and converting sales leads
- · Deal negotiation
- · Successful closing track record
Skills and qualifications needed:
- · BSC level qualification from a good business school
- · 100% business fluent in spoken and written German
- · Excited and knowledgeable about the solar PV market
- · Able and willing to live and work in Germany and travel frequently
