Description

My client is an established Solar Photovoltaics designer. They are looking for a sales manager to build and lead a successful sales team around themselves. The role requires extensive sales experience within the renewable energy space, so they are looking to hire someone who has consistently exceeded sales targets. The ideal candidate will have experience within the solar PV space, especially within the installation and sales sectors. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure that the transition process between the sales team and the installation team runs smoothly. The role also requires someone with business development and managerial experience, especially within the alternative energy sector so the ideal candidate will have built a successful PV sales business by developing and utilising a strong sales team. 

 

The new staff member will be expected to work with the head office regularly to generate sales targets and  work to develop business strategies to ensure the continuous and sustained growth of the company.

 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Training new staff members on the different types of customer and corresponding sales targets
  • Conducting sales campaigns over the phone and in person in order to increase market share in the UK
  • Ensuring that profitable customer relations are maintained and that new ones are developed
  • Liaising with sales director to define sales strategy for the southern UK region
  • Ensuring all sales closed are smoothly handed over to the installation and customer care team.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of sales experience within the renewable energy space
  • 5+ years experience within Solar PV space
  • Able to show solid and consistent revenue generation in renewable energy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and energised environment
  • Ambitious and driven with need to succeed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
