Solar PV Project Manager, Italy, €45-60k

My client is an international manufacturer of solar PV modules and developer of large scale solar PV (photovoltaic) power plants. They are a multinational company and have seen significant success across Europe and the Middle East. Currently, my client is looking for a project manager to look after multiple projects in Italy.

This is a key position, overseeing multiple commercial and utility scale PV projects across Italy and is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious junior project managers to take the next step in their career into a multinational organisation.

CORE CRITERIA
My client is seeking a Project Manager with an electrical or mechanical engineering background and experience to coordinate their efforts across Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the origination, development and sales of international large scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to financial close in Italy
• Identify, assess and create project development opportunities in Italy
• Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
• Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permits
• Proactively sourcing new investors and projects to grow the business
• Will be managing multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
• Assessing profitability of projects and successful development including the preparation of land for construction
• Project negotiations (with diverse project partners such as local developers, IPPs or utilities)
• Defining and controlling budgets
• Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience, with a proven track record in the development and management of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
• Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance
• Excellent oral and written communications skills  
• Must have experience working in the Italian market
• Excellent commercial experience
• Project and time management skills

• Must have excellent (spoken, written and reading) English and Italian language skills( German, French or Spanish beneficial)
