Solar PV Project Manager, Germany

My client is a large European manufacturer and distributor of PV inverters. They also develop large scale solar PV power plants with operations across Western and Eastern Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful international organization in a lead position within the company.

My client is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team in Germany and to work on the development and maintenance of their installed solar PV (photovoltaic) inverters across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity for a project engineer or junior project manager with an electrical engineering background to take the next step in their career in the vastly emerging Solar PV market which is projected to be the biggest market in Europe over the next 10 years.

CORE CRITERIA
My client is seeking a Project Manager with an electrical engineering background and experience to coordinate their efforts across Europe.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Responsible for the origination, development and sales of international large scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to financial close in Italy
• ·         Identify, assess and create project development opportunities in Germany
• ·         Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
• ·         Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permits
• ·         Proactively sourcing new investors and projects to grow the business
• ·         Will be managing multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
• ·         Assessing profitability of projects and successful development including the preparation of land for construction
• ·         Project negotiations (with diverse project partners such as local developers, IPPs or utilities)
• ·         Defining and working within budgetary constraints
• ·         Project financing
• ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs

Requirements:

• ·         Minimum 3-5 years experience, with a proven track record in the development and management of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
• ·         Degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance
• ·         Excellent communications skills
• ·         Must be willing to relocate to Germany
• ·         Excellent commercial experience
• ·         Good oral and written communications skills  
• ·         Project and time management skills

• Must have excellent (spoken, written and reading) English and German language skills( Italian, French or Spanish beneficial)
