Solar PV Project Finance Specialist, Zug, Switzerland

My client is a well established global manufacturer of solar PV systems and caters predominantly to the commercial market. They are also heavily involved in the development and realization of solar PV projects and as a result, they are looking for an experienced project finance specialist.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for an experienced project finance candidate who will be experienced on the debt and or equity side of things. You will be advising and executing suitable financing solutions for proposed projects and as a result will require to have a comprehensive knowledge of the various financing models. You will be relied upon to establish and maintain viable relationships with lenders/investors on both the debt and equity side to provide financing for large scale solar PV projects when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Obtain debt/equity project financing facilities for all new projects
• ·         Cash flow modeling
• ·         Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Project Financing with progress or difficulties in obtaining or structuring financing solutions for various utility scale solar PV projects
• ·         Negotiate at a senior level with potential lenders/investors
• ·         Prepare all necessary documentation
• ·         Liaise internally with legal specialists in order to work within relevant laws and regulations
• ·         Develop and maintain strong relationships with debt and equity financing partners
• ·         Assist in the sales of solar PV projects once they have been completed and the grid has been connected

Core Requirements:

• ·         At least 5 years’ experience working in solar PV debt and or equity project financing either in a bank or an energy project development company
• ·         Background in financial engineering or a similar discipline educated to BSC or MSC
• ·         Must be fluent in English + Italian, German is beneficial
• ·         Willing and able to live and work in Zug.
• ·         Significant experience in structured financing of large renewable energy projects in the Euro Zone would be a big advantage
• ·         Autonomous, knowledgeable and able to come up with realistic solutions for any problems that arise

General Requirements:

• ·         Good IT skills (Word and Excel)
• ·         Some travel may be required up to 30%.
