Solar PV Project Finance Director, Germany, €90k+

A project finance director is needed on a permanent basis in Germany.

My client is an established solar module manufacturer rapidly expanding into the European market. Their main focus in Europe is project development especially roof-top based projects.  This is an exciting opportunity to lead the financing efforts of a company looking to become Europe’s largest solar PV project developer.

CORE CRIETERIA:

My client is actively looking for an experienced project financier to lead their project finance department in bring in the required finance for their projects. My client is keen to see candidates with an extensive network of contacts within the European financial market as this will allow the candidate to form a good bond between these financial institutions and my client. The ideal candidate will have an extensive transaction list within the renewable energy space and have a good understanding of how the market operates. This role will be based in Germany and as such my client will show a preference to those already in the country or actively looking to relocate

Responsibilities:

• Actively introduce prospective financing institutions to my client and make them very aware of the large projects my client is carrying out.
• Direct the financing process by ensuring that team members have completed all necessary documentation.
• Manage the negotiation process between my client and prospective financing organisations with the aim of successfully acquiring the necessary finance for upcoming projects
• Directing the financial structuring process for all projects and ensuring the team have adequately formulated each particular transaction correctly
• Working closely with the managing director to ensure that financing strategies are developed for all prospective projects.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in project financing
• 3+ years in project financing for the renewable energy sector
• Financially minded with excellent leadership skills
• Bi-lingual German and English
• Knowledge of financial regulations across European countries
• Network of contacts within European financing institutions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
