Solar PV (photovoltaic) Electrical Engineer, Italy

My client is a globally renowned, utility scale provider of power solutions within the renewable energy market. My client has been established for over two decades and has developed an extremely successful track record in supplying tried and tested, reliable clean energy alternatives. They are currently looking for an experienced electrical engineer to add to their already established team.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team in Italy and to work on the development and maintenance of their installed solar PV (photovoltaic) inverters. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who has had experience in the solar market to work for an international organisation.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Conduct root cause analysis of client queries
• ·         Provide assistance for scheduled developments and/or for emergency client issues
• ·         Producing detailed electrical designs for inverter builds
• ·         Will be implementing inverter electrical systems for large and small scale solar power plants
• ·         Will have to co-ordinate with project managers so as to ensure all requirements are met    
• ·         Work with high voltage electrical systems
• ·         Travel on site to assess and conduct maintenance of installed inverter fleet
• ·         Provide training to clients on PV inverter operation
• ·         Efficient preparation of field service reports

Core Requirements:

• •         Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in electrical engineering technology (EET)
• •         Experience in AUTOCAD
• •         Extensive knowledge of power systems
• •         Knowledge of PLC programming

General Requirements:

• •         Be willing to travel on site frequently
• •         Solar PV experience in beneficial
• •         Must be approachable with strong communications skills as you will be interacting with clients daily
