Solar PV Construction Site Supervisor, Freiburg, Germany, €40-60k

My client is an international manufacturer of solar PV modules and is also heavily active in the commissioning of solar PV (photovoltaic) power plants. They are a multinational company and have seen significant success across European and Middle Eastern markets. Currently, my client is looking for a construction site supervisor to look after multiple projects in Germany and internationally.

Job Overview:

My client is looking for a construction site supervisor  to operate out of Germany. This is a key position, in which you will be taking the lead and overseeing multiple commercial and utility scale PV projects, this is an exceptional opportunity for experienced project manager or construction manager to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of on site staff so as to ensure successful completion of projects to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Conduct technical pre feasibility studies on photovoltaic projects.
• ·         Overseeing and advising on concept design work on PV projects
• ·         Coordination of project engineers and subcontractors in construction of Solar PV plants
• ·         Participation in EPC contract negotiations regarding solar PV aspects
• ·         Construction site supervision
• ·         Work with general contractors to manage site design
• ·         Liaise with various divisions and teams to prioritize and establish sequence of activities, and to ensure the completion deadlines are met
• ·         Review estimates, engineering design, and documents with estimating team, and distribute bid documents to sub trades and suppliers
• ·         Review labour costs and productivities

Education:

• Strong educational background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Core Requirements:

• At least 3 years relevant work experience in the Solar construction industry with a proven track record of working on commercial and utility scales solar PV projects
• Must have a proven track record in management and coordination of multiple solar PV projects

• ·         Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detecting realistic solutions
• ·         Must have very good knowledge in AutoCad andusing MS Excel and scheduling software

• Good financial management experience

General Requirements:

• Must be willing to work out of Germany
• Be available to travel frequently to project sites
