A solar PV business developer with a background in residential and commercial installation is need in the Southeast on a permanent basis.

 

My client is a reputable solar project developer working on residential, commercial and utility scale projects. They have established a presence across the UK and are actively pursuing projects in the USA with a view to growing globally. The firm has an established base in the UK and they hope to further strengthen this with the addition of a business developer. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to greatly contribute to the growth of a well managed and successful business.

CORE CRITERIA:

My client is actively looking to hire a business developer to propel the expansion of their inverter business across the key areas in the UK. The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience in the UK Solar market and will have a proven track record of successful business origination. My client is keen to see candidates with experience in commercial and residential installations. This role will suit a sales driven business expert who is comfortable with extensive client-facing and is looking for a challenging niche market to develop.

Responsibilities:

  • ·         Actively seeking and developing relations with prospective c level clients across the UK and engaging them in the solutions my client can provide.
  • ·         Work closely with area directors to establish a clear portfolio of solutions offered and develop clear channels through which business can be developed
  • ·         Manage negotiation processes between my  client and prospective clients with the aim of successfully reaching a contractual agreement
  • ·         Directing the business development efforts in certain key areas across the UK to ensure maximum potential market coverage
  • ·         Develop strong relations with the head of project financing as well as prospective financers for commercial projects

Requirements:

  • ·         5+ years experience in business development
  • ·         3 + years successful solar PV installation track record for both commercial and residential projects is essential
  • ·         Extensive Knowledge of the UK renewable energy market
  • ·         Very good managerial skills
  • ·         Ambitious and target driven
  • ·         Excellent Business acumen
  • ·         Willingness to travel extensively
  • ·         Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
