My client is a leading developer in the solar PV market, they can boast a portfolio spanning 15 countries across America, Europe and Asia and have had substantial success in the development of commercial and utility scale power plants. They are currently looking to bring on board an experienced project manager who will be able to contribute to the continued success of the company.

Core Criteria:

My client is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee their operations. The successful candidate must have a  minimum 3-5 years previous project management experience with a proven track record in the solar industry.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Take the lead and ensure that solar PV projects are fully compliant with contractual and customer requirements.
• ·         Identify, assess and create project development opportunities in the West Coast
• ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
• ·         Coordinate and manage project engineers and EPC contractors
• ·         Oversee the prioritization of assignments, budgets and to organize and direct the flow of work to meet both internal and external expectations
• ·         Coordinating and managing on a regional basis
• ·         Development and execution of new projects
• ·         Developing strategies, plans and goals on a global scale with industry leaders

Skills and qualifications needed:

• ·         3-5 years experience with a proven track record in the development and management of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
• ·         A successful candidate will be educated to BSc or MSc level in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.
• ·         Must be willing to work and relocate if necessary to the West Coast
• ·         Be able to understand the total project operation including material procurement, forecasting, manufacturing and on-time delivery.
• ·         Excellent team management skills with a proven track record
• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
