Description

My client is a leading vertically integrated solar developer and manufacturer, providing photovoltaic (PV) solutions for its residential, business, government and utility customers worldwide. With their recent sustained growth are looking to recruit a senior level business development candidate with a focus on the growth of their  commercial solar system sales, responsible for strategically managing the sales process including identifying, targeting and developing new business relationships in the North America. 

Responsibilities:-

 

  • Analysing the clients needs and developing proposals to fit their criteria
  • Negotiating terms and closing deals
  • Working in conjuction with the development, sales and project finance teams
  • Planning and organizing of projects/ products
  • Generating leads and arrange client visits with a view to pitching solar products / projects
  • Identify and prioritize new business prospects.
  • Manage support staff through leadership and collaboration.
  • Lead solar system proposal preparation including pricing strategies.
  • Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in commercial solar system sales.
  • Manage projects by setting priorities and expectations, problem solving, communicating ongoing status updates.

 

Requirements:-

 

  • You will have at least 3-5 years of business development experience, with an excellent track record of commercial solar sales
  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites
  • Must have strong educational background (MBA would be desirable)
  • Must have experience in solar system proposal writing and execution of sale to contract award
  • Proficient with making impactful presentations.
  • Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results.
  • Proven track record in solar business development and growth.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
