Description

My client one of the fastest growing solar companies in the solar PV industry working on residential and commercial properties. They are currently in the process of growing their UK branch and are looking to ensure that they have senior supervisors and managers to handle commercial and residential installations. They utilise the highest levels of technology and have established themselves as a leader in the field of renewable energy. They are looking for a Senior installer with a proven track record of high quality, team leading and technical knowledge.

Position Overview:

You will manage a team of installers of commercial installations across the UK. You will manage your team to ensure that they maintain the quality of service and standards that are required by the country. You will report directly to the operations manager work closely with the other installations supervisors across the company to ensure.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work on the installation of commercial solar systems across the UK
  • ·         Manage a rapidly expanding team and report directly to the operations director in the creation and management of a network of local installers
  • You will carry out the initial training and following through with the technical quality and customer service standards
  • You will ensure that your team meets quality and safety standards in the installation of commercial scale solar PV projects
  • Oversee repairs/upgrades and full rewires for customers of my client
  • Fitting rails/feet and solar panels to commercial customers
  • Design solar PV system from preliminary steps to completion for commercial projects; single-line diagram, inverter selection, electrical layouts, short circuit analysis, modules and strings calculation with wire selection and protection system
  • Setting up of any additional equipment required for the solar PV systems
  • You will work closely with installers and develop loyalty to the client within the network of solar PV   installers within the company
  • Negotiate and evaluate bid packages and sub-contract agreements
  • Analyse life cycle cost (LCC) for PV systems by considering technical, geographical and meteorological factors

Education:

Strong educational background in Engineering (MSc preferred)

Core Requirements:

  • ·         2-4 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role with a strong background in the technical side of building and electrical systems
  • ·         A proven track record within the solar PV sector
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detect realistic solutions
  • Strong experience in the installation solar PV systems
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • You will have the technical qualifications required by UK law

  • Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • Excellent presentation

Key skills:

Renewable energy, strong installation experience with small and large-scale PV installations exceptional management skills
