Description:Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. seeks a Solar Engineering Manager, based out of our Broomfield, Colorado office, to be responsible for mechanical engineering and project coordination of large scale solar power projects, including Concentrating Solar Power projects with emphasis on steam power generation systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead solar engineering team to provide engineering support to the development team, especially during the planning and bidding of new projects, and the construction team during construction and commissioning of large scale solar projects
2. Lead solar engineering team to perform power plant system design and optimization, reduce cost and maximize energy yield.
3. Design fluid and thermal systems of solar thermal power plants.
4. Contribute technical input to solar technology selection.
5. Integrate components as they relate to conventional power plant design and scope development.
6. Perform due diligence and feasibility studies for large scale solar project development.
7. Use contract terms, recognizing discrepancies to negotiate and manage engineering contracts and services as required.
8. Perform risk and economic analysis.
9. Develop uncertainty analysis for energy yield using statistical tools utilizing quality management systems for standards and processes with a high degree of accuracy.
10. Design physical layout of the plant.
11. Project coordination, scheduling and reporting.
12. Ensure safety requirements are met and stay current on changing regulatory requirements and industrial best practices.

Requirements:

1. At least four (4) years of experience in power plant system design system integration, design optimization, and project coordination experience for large scale complex power plant projects and proficiency with thermo-fluid simulation software as it relates to thermal power plant design.
2. Thermal power plant design experience including designing and coordinating large capital-industrial construction project. working experience of general arrangement drawings and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
3. Design experience with rotating machinery, heat exchangers, fluid systems and piping relative to thermal power plants.
4. Working experience of general arrangement drawings and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.

Education:Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a closely-related field.
