Solar Design and Installation specialist, Greater Manchester area

My client is an established provider of renewable power systems such as grid connected solar PV (photovoltaic) systems and solar thermal systems. They use well known, high quality solar PV and thermal equipment in their business sourced from manufacturers of high efficiency PV modules across the globe and they have a proven track record in successfully installing sometimes highly complex solar power systems in residential and commercial contexts.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Taking requirements from the sales team and designing suitable systems accordingly
• Ensuring installations of solar thermal and solar photovoltaic systems are completed to spec, within budget and on time
• Coordinating with the sales team in order to answer any customer queries
• Training customers on how to use the system once it has been installed
• Ensuring grid connection etc is fully functional

Skills and qualifications needed:

• Minimum education level - bachelors degree (in electrical engineering ideally or will consider other kinds of engineering backgrounds with relevant experience)
• Proven track record designing, installing and troubleshooting solar power systems
• Understanding of the UK market and current legal requirements
• A valid work permit or passport allowing you to work freely in the UK
• Experience dealing with customers and presenting a strong corporate profile when answering queries
