This is a specially created new role in the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT) in support of the One-Star Military Commandant. DCTT is a tri-Service organisation delivering technical and management training to Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force personnel in the domains of Marine, Electro-Mechanical, Communications & Information Systems and Aeronautical Engineering. The DCTT schools are geographically distributed at sites in Blandford Forum, Cosford, Digby, Gosport and Lyneham, with the Headquarters (HQ) principally based at MOD Lyneham. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job descriptionThe provision of oversight on behalf of the HQ of critical infrastructure (infra) issues that are having an impact on the delivery of technical training across the College sites. The introduction and co-ordination of infra initiatives, including the management of Climate Change and Sustainability (CCS), across the College. The co-ordination with HQ Air and local stakeholders of the Command Infra Delivery Plan to enable the timely resolution of building issues across the College. The monitoring and review of infra risks held on the risk management tool ‘PARMIS’, providing advice to stakeholders on their recording, management, reporting and, when necessary, escalation. The representation of the HQ at the critical infra forums that consider new building projects and the upkeep of the existing estate. Responding to ad-hoc tasks from the HQ Chief of Staff to enable, manage and promote the delivery of technical training within the HQ and across the College. Person specificationDesirable. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.? This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments.
