We have two opportunities - one each in North Kent & Rainham Marshes - to undertake some of the most exciting work that the RSPB does, and develop the RSPB's managers of the future. Based within the Thames Gateway, these roles will be responsible for managing some of the best wildlife sites in South East England. These are development posts, and to help you grow the skills we need, the roles will be supported by a programme of training and development. The RSPB manages nine reserves in North Kent between Gravesend in the West and Whitstable in the East. The reserves have a great diversity of character; from Cliffe Pools, where we plan to develop an inspiring visitor experience, to the open wilderness of Elmley Marshes. We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm and a strong commitment to conservation values to help coordinate the management of these special areas. Working in a development partnership with the Rainham Marshes Project Officer, we will help you to grow the broad range of skills needed to become a Site Manager for the RSPB at an exciting time in the development of the area, including reserve work, ecology and communication and management skills.
