Site Manager, Colorado, USA

As a leading developer of onshore wind farms, my client has a strong global presence and an excellent reputation within the wind industry. Specialising in onshore wind farm development, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee all operational activities within the region.  

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will oversee all operations, supervise all personal working on the project including leads, technicians and field staff on the assigned wind farm. You will be the primary customer contact and will rely heavily on your extensive experience and judgement to accomplish the set goals.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Leveraging resources as necessary for seamless execution
• ·         Ensure that all applicable polices are adhered to
• ·         Oversee all O&M operations on the project
• ·         Be responsible for creating and tracking project schedules
• ·         Oversee the hiring, training, mentoring and evaluation of technicians
• ·         Providing specific expertise for problem solving
• ·         Interact with staff across the project to provide technical interpretation including project teams and senior management
• ·         Identify the projects financial needs and forecast expenditures
• ·         Maintain the department budget whilst meeting/exceeding annual revenue expectations
• ·         Provide data, reports and other information to assist in the preparation of the corporate annual budget

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Core Requirements:-

• ·         At least 3 years experience working as a site manager
• ·         At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• ·         An exceptional understanding of various different types of wind turbines
• ·         Strong project management experience including in depth experience with project planning, cost tracking, and customer relations.
• ·         Experience in High, Medium and Low voltages
• ·         Ability to work with clients of varying degrees of knowledge and experience with wind turbine
