Description

My client is one of the leading five global developers of wind farms. They are one of the largest renewable energy developers in the world who focus on the construction and management of large wind farms.

 

Position Overview:

This Site Manager will be working as part of a team that are responsible for overseeing general day to day operations ensuring that development is both  conducted in accordance to the companies regulations, budget and time frame.

 

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Overseeing civil actives and inspectors including, the layout and construction of site roads and turbine foundations including excavation, mud mats, forms, re-bar, imbeds and placement of concrete and grouting activities for the turbine base sections.
  • ·         Responsible for the daily reporting and tracking of all civil activities
  • ·         Creation and maintaining project logs and disposition of contractor's RFI's.
  • ·         Manage all manner of corrective work, including the setup of crane companies, controlling the ordering of components, and controlling tracking records.
  • ·         Report the owner on a daily basis
  • ·         Insure schedule, budget and QA/QC is met
  • ·         Increase availability through planned maintenance

 Education:-

  • ·         Must have a strong academic background, bachelors required

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         Experience in managing daily operations on wind farms
  • ·         Track record of feasibility study and project management .
  • ·         Strong communicator and fluent in English
  • ·         2+ years experience within the wind department
  • ·         Commercial, legal and basic technical knowledge for offshore wind farms
  • ·         Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements

 

General Requirements:-

  • A good understanding of the renewable industry
  • Ability to produce professional high quality reports
  • Work well under pressure and towards targets
  • Cooperative and friendly work attitude with partners, company and colleagues
  • Strong communication skills

 

Wind  Energy, complex stakeholder and customer management experience and  experience in grid interconnections.
