About the role

Reporting to the Head of Projects you will manage a diverse range of projects including landscaping, habitat creation and nature recovery work. Managing teams onsite on day-to-day basis, you will be committed to being hands on with various tasks to help ensure the delivery of our projects to deadlines and within budget. 

Main responsibilities will include: 

  • Overall responsibility for site management.
  • Ensuring projects are running to program, budget and reporting risks to both.
  • Conducting Health and Safety implementation, toolbox talks, safety briefings, positive interventions, site inductions and near miss reporting.
  • Managing sub-contractors.
  • Undertaking a full range of landscaping tasks in a variety of conditions including wetlands, wildflower meadows and woodlands.
  • Carrying out inspection and test plans for all site deliveries.
  • Liaising with clients, internal project managers and other stakeholders.

About you 

As our Site Manager you will have a flexible hands-on approach to your work, ensuring productivity onsite is always at the highest standard achievable. You will be a committed and dedicated member of the team, willing to go the extra mile to ensure delivery of projects. A strong attention to detail as well as ensuring an inclusive team environment will be a key focus. 

You will ideally have a passion for the natural world and have the desire to make a difference. 

What qualifications & experience will you require? 

  • SMSTS/SSSTS 
  • CSCS Managers or Supervisors card 
  • Relevant tickets including strimming, ride on mower, brush cutter, PA6A and Chainsaw would be desirable. 
  • First aid at work (desirable) 
  • Previous experience working across environmental or ecological projects, as well as managing teams. 
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
