My client is a leading wind farm developer, working both on and offshore across the UK. They have a strong background in the wind market and a portfolio spanning across Europe. They have secured a pipe line in the offshore wind market across Europe and require strong candidates to ensure they can maintain their market reputation.
Position Overview:
My client currently require an experienced senior project manager to work in the offshore wind farm sector in the UK you will lead a team of planners, developers and engineers in the development of wind farms. You will be reporting to the director of project management in the Scotland
Responsibilities:-
- · You will manage a support team of engineers and contractors across the wind farm project
- · Performing as a leader and managing a team to ensure that the highest quality of work is performed within the renewable energy project
- · Reporting effectively to senior program managers to provide the most accurate account of the projects performance and their ability to be undertaken with in the budget and time frames provided
- · Working to the highest standard to promote the company and ensure career progression and future opportunities within the renewable energy field
- · Taking on a more senior role in motivating and mentoring those working on the renewable energy project
- · You will be in charge of EPC contact negotiations
- · Technical planning, studies and due diligence of proposed or operational wind farms
- · Overseeing the negotiations and procurement process with manufacturers and developing market contacts with those in the area
Education:-
You will have a degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent
Core Requirements:-
- · A strong background working in the renewable energy market in offshore wind projects
- · Experience working with and liaising with a variety of clients and investors involved in the projects
- · Excellent skills working in a senior management position preferably within the renewable energy sector
- · Strong level of ambition in a desire to progress within the role
- · You will have demonstrated practical engineering experience within the wind sector
- · Experience working with MS Office and Wind Pro
General Requirements:-
- · Will have 4-6 years experience
- · Excellent management skills
- · A strong technical background working on wind farm projects
- · Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
- · Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- · The ability to travel within the UK and with time across Europe
- · A keen interest in the offshore wind market and a desire to see it progress and be part of its development in Europe
