Senior Wind Engineer, Gloucester, UK

My client is a leading UK provider of large scale wind turbines for farms with over 10 year’s experience. They provide a range of services from feasibility studies, consents, design, instillation and management.

Position Overview:

 The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple wind power projects ranging form 330KW – 2MW taking the project right from the initial phase of organizing land consents to preparing the site for instillation. You will be working with a range of clients from private landowners, multinational companies, local authorities and utility companies.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Managing project development and the instillation phases on wind projects.
• ·         Constructing projects plans and managing from start to finish
• ·         Ensuring projects are completed in time and within the budget
• ·         Construct noise and visual models to support planning applications
• ·         Wind analysis
• ·         Provide technical support in the sales process
• ·         Co ordinate less senior engineers
• ·         Manage technical teams
• ·         Review of previous projects

Education:-

Educated to a minimum bachelors level degree in a relevant engineering discipline

Core Requirements:-

• ·         Minimum 3 years experience  working on wind farm projects
• ·         Experience in the planning and design process of wind projects
• ·         Good understanding of wind modeling and experience using a leading software package  (WindPRO preferred)
• ·         Understanding of grid connections issues
• ·         Oversee several projects a one time
