Our client is a leading provider of environmental and waste management consultancy services to the nuclear industry in the UK.  An exciting vacancy has recently arisen for a suitably qualified waste management professional to join the environmental assessments team.
From the outset you will be expected to make an important technical contribution to projects.  You should have experience in the radioactive waste management field, and be an able project manager.  You will be required to liaise directly with the clients and, from time to time, undertake work at clients’ premises.  In addition, you will be expected to undertake business development activities.  This will involve travel to sites in the UK and possibly abroad.
A very good first degree in a physical science or related numerate discipline is required for this role.  You will have demonstrable experience, over a number of years, in project management and in working on waste management issues in the nuclear industry.  This experience will be in one or more of the following areas: waste management, waste treatment processes, inventory studies, packaging assessments, and decommissioning studies.  Numerate and able to use a wide range of software packages, you will possess experience of customer interactions and proposal preparation.  A full, clean UK driving licence is also essential.
