FIELD TEACHER - Senior Tutor (Senior Team Member)

Flatford Mill Field Centre, Suffolk

In this important and challenging role the ideal candidate will:

  • develop, plan and deliver GCSE and A-level courses, along with environmental courses for younger students.
  • play a major role in the working and organisation of the education team. Previous experience essential.
  • engage and enthuse students with assisting the FSC achieve their goal of ‘Inspiring Environmental Understanding through first-hand experience’.
  • provide effective leadership in a number of key areas of centre management.
  • have knowledge of the National Curriculum and a degree in Geography or closely allied discipline.  Training
    will be given to help you develop your competence. 
  • be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.    
  • take a lead role in developing programmes in at least one subject area and in the training of non-specialist staff.
  • effectively manage groups in outdoor learning locations, which may be remote, whilst ensuring the health and safety of the group at all times.

FSC Salary Grade:  £19,405 - £22,145 per annum depending upon qualifications and experience. 

Hours of work are based on a notional average of 40 per week. 

If resident at the Centre, there will be a deduction for accommodation.
