FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of ‘Bringing Environmental Understanding to All’ via its network of Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom.  We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Tutor at our residential Centre at Castle Head Field Centre, Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria, LA11 6QT. 

In this important and challenging role you will develop, plan and deliver GCSE and A-level courses, along with environmental courses for younger students. You will be expected to play a major role in the working and organisation of the education team, taking a lead role in developing programmes in one subject area and in training non-specialist staff, and have management responsibilities for specified Centre operations. Therefore previous experience is essential, as is knowledge of the National Curriculum and a degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Outdoor Education or closely allied discipline.  Training will be given to help you develop your competence.  You’ll also be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

FSC Salary Grade:  scale points 12 – 15, currently £19,213 - £21,926 p.a.

Hours of work are based on a notional average of 40 per week. 

If resident at the Centre, there will be a deduction for accommodation.
