Description

My client is a market leader in solar PV sector. They specialize in the investment and financing, technology R&D, engineering design, construction, operation and management of renewable energy, particularly in solar photovoltaic field. The established over ten countries in the main hot-spot solar photovoltaic markets, Europe (Germany, Czech, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, France etc), North America (Canada, USA) as well as Asia (Japan and Greater China etc).

Position Overview:

The Senior Technical Manager manages personnel, creates and monitors metrics, completes designs for solar photovoltaic systems. The Senior Technical Manager is instrumental in shaping the policies and procedures and works to continuously improve the department and company deliverables. The Senior Technical Manager functions as a technical expert and resource for region in which they manage the engineering department

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Perform engineering tasks to support projects, including system design, creation of bills of material, task management, site surveys, as required for specific responsibilities
  • ·         Delegate project completion tasks to other engineering team members
  • ·         Manage engineering department personnel
  • ·         Assist in documenting and developing industry best practices, standards and guidelines
  • ·         Develop and maintain drawing/document standards for project drawings and other associated documents
  • ·         Assess potential project sites – identify layout constraints resulting in actual buildable space, visit and walk site to visually inspect and site potential problems and propose possible solutions
  • ·         Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural design team members for development of complete designs of solar arrays
  • ·         Manage engineering consultants for calculations, drawing packages, and professional stamps.

Education:-

  • ·         Must have strong engineering background (degree in the area of mechanical engineering preferred )

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         3+ years in the solar industry or a related field, preferably experience with designing and / or constructing solar electric systems
  • ·         Proficiency in drafting and AutoCAD Software
  • ·         Experience in all phases from development to construction, of commercial and large scale solar PV power plant design.
  • ·         Familiarity with construction and civil codes.
  • ·         Demonstrated experience leading site design activities.

Key Skills:

Solar PV, B.S. in mechanical engineering, complex stakeholder and customer management experience and  experience in the design and configuration of solar power plants.
