My client is an award winning provider of environmental consultancy to corporate and government clients. They provide ideas, specialist knowledge and solutions to secure food and enhance the environment. They are seeking a senior individual with a strong track of project management excellent communication skills, be comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and facilitating workshops. The successful candidate should a good understanding of the food sustainability agenda and both Government and corporate drivers of change. This post is one of seven new positions that we are currently recruiting for within this team.
Responsibilities:-
- Manage contracts to maximise profit and client satisfaction
- Provide project management and coordination of multi disciplinary teams to deliver client requirements
- Provide technical, analytical and report writing delivery in own discipline on sustainability
- Develop own expertise and profile in the sustainability arena contributing to the promotion and growth their services
- Provide technical and delivery support to the sustainability team
- Work closely with key account managers to develop profitable business within those accounts. This will include accompanying key account managers on client visits and developing concept notes and proposals.
- Provide support where necessary to other key relationship accounts and strategic alliances
- Lead bids and proposals and attend bid interviews. To devise cost and price inputs, and co-ordinate and integrate contributions from multiple team members from different disciplines
Requirements:-
- Must have strong educational background (MSc in relevant discipline)
- Proven track record with a number of years experience either from a industry, academic or consulting background
- Experienced project manager used to managing complex project teams
- Strong track record in business development and sales
- Good understanding of the sustainability agenda
- Strong analytical, report writing and verbal presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and appropriate manner to a range of stakeholders
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and facilitating workshops
- Industry experience in agriculture or food would be an advantage
- Track record of managing sustainability projects as a consultant or within an in-house delivery team
