Senior Sustainability Consultant, New York

My client is a large energy consultancy with specialist departments in all renewable energy sectors including solar PV, wind energy and thermal energy. They are looking to hire an experienced sustainability consultant to aid in their growth of the area. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing bespoke sustainability solutions to c-level clients. The role requires someone to be the expert that senior management can refer to when developing the business and acquiring clients in the area. The role will also require you to work closely with the team leaders of other sectors of the business to gage if their current clients require sustainability solutions.

The role will require you to be in constant contact with senior management to advice on the most profitable avenue to develop the business in. You will also need to travel widely across the country meeting with potential and current clients to propose the sustainability solutions my client can offer. Further to this, you will be required to carry out initial evaluations on the projects already acquired by my clients before working with the project managers and directors to shape a specific sustainability strategy for the business.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in sustainability space
• Proven track record of providing successful client focused sustainability solutions
• Consultancy experience is essential
• Business development experience would be beneficial, especially within the sustainability sector
• Ambitious candidate looking for a role with wider responsibilities and exponential growth possibilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
