My client is a manufacturer and distributer of high performance crystalline silicon solar PV (photovoltaic) solar cells globally. They have introduced innovations into the market which have caused them to become a very well recognised brand in the worldwide market. They are currently looking for senior research and development engineer to work on the development of their solar cell technology.

Position Overview:

They are currently looking for an experienced individual to join their dynamic organisation as a senior R&D engineer who will take a pioneering role in the development of the company’s solar cell technology and be involved in ultimately establishing the company as a global leader in solar PV cell manufacturing. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified individual to take a lead role within a vastly growing company and establish themselves as a key player in the global market.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Will be actively involved in the characterization of fabricated cells
• ·         Work closely in collaboration with research institutions and external companies within the research program
• ·         Be responsible for the technology transfer of the research material onto the pilot lines.
• ·         Conduct research at both the labs and partnered research institutes
• ·         Evaluate the results of the research and draw accurate conclusions

Education:

• ·         Must be educated to PhD level in Physics or Materials Characterization

Core Requirements:

• ·         5-10 years work experience with 2-4 directly related to the Solar PV industry
• ·         Must have a proven track record in solar PV R&D of crystalline silicon technology
• ·         Must be an innovative individual and able to bring ideas to the table
• ·         Will have exceptional analytical skills

General Requirements:

• ·         Must be able to work effectively individually and as part of a team
• ·         Will be willing to travel frequently
