Senior Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project Developer, Germany

My client is a large European developer of solar power plants with operations across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful international organization in a lead position within the company. They are looking for an experienced project developer to work on large scale rooftop projects.

An exceptional opportunity for an experienced solar PV project developer to advance their skill set in a rewarding environment and gain all important international exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the origination, development and sales of international large scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to financial close in Italy
• Identify, assess and create project development opportunities in Germany
• Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
• Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permits
• Proactively sourcing new investors and projects to grow the business
• Will be managing multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
• Assessing profitability of projects and successful development including the preparation of land for construction
• Project negotiations (with diverse project partners such as local developers, IPPs or utilities)
• Project financing
• Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-10 years experience, with a proven track record in the development of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
• Degree in environmental planning, civil engineering, engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance
• Excellent communications skills
• Must be willing to relocate to Germany
• Excellent commercial experience
• Good oral and written communications skills  
• Project and time management skills

• Must have excellent (spoken, written and reading) English and German language skills( Italian, French or Spanish beneficial)
