My client is a leading manufacturer of Wind turbines the USA. Due to increased demand across the USA and South America in the wind sector my client is expanding its sales team in order to keep up with customer demand and react to the market changes. It is also looking to expand its offshore sale team in order to ensure that they are involved in the new opportunities in the offshore market.

 

Position Overview:

My client requires a Turbine Sales Manager with a strong technical background who has excellent market connections across the USA and South America. This position will involve growing the company’s influence in the market and generating new sales opportunities. You will manage a team from home and afar while still working closely with the senior sales managers in regions across the USA.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • ·         This position will involve travelling within the American region in order to attract new business for the Wind Turbine manufactures
  • ·         Utilisation of expertise in the Wind Turbines in order to explain the technical side of the Wind Turbines
  • ·         You will be required to developed relationships with new clients, negotiate and carry through the business process including pricing and terms and conditions
  • ·         Train the customers on the product in order for them to best promote and utilize the Wind Turbines
  • ·         Close deals with clients within the framework of the companies requirements while ensuring the happiness of the client
  • ·         Perform to the highest standard in order to encourage brand awareness and quality awareness for the company
  • ·         Lead a team of turbine sales consultants within the US and South American market and encourage and develop their sales through training and implementation of sales techniques
  • ·         Work with company directors in order to best promote the product for the company

 

Education

A relevant degree in either engineering or business management

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         At least 10+ years’ post-degree experience in the sales role
  • ·         3-8 years experience working in the wind energy market
  • ·         Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • ·         1-3 years of management experience in the wind industry
  • ·         Experience leading and training a sales team

 

General requirements

  • ·         Ability to travel
  • ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Strong presentation skills
  • ·         A desire to work in a target driven role
