My client is a leading manufacturer of Concentrated Photovoltaics (CPV) systems.
Position Overview: Maximizes revenues through the direction of sales managers and reps. The senior Sales manager will be responsible for lead generation, customer relationship development, proposal development, contract preparation and negotiation in Europe. The successful candidate will be personable, confident, well organised and comfortable in developing relationships at board and senior manager level with customers.
Responsibilities:
- At least five years proven track record in systems or equipment sales in the industrial photovoltaic sector, or other infrastructure markets such as water, power, building services or construction, preferably in sunbelt countries
- Experience in the management of large, complex sales of high tech capital equipment, and proven ability to create and sell overall solutions packages matching the customer’s requirements (for example including project finance)
- An understanding of the drivers for deployment of large systems, including
- Cost of ownership
- Customer requirements - system performance, cost and reliability
- Financial support mechanisms
- Environmental factors
- International operating experience, and an extensive network of international contacts in one or more of the infrastructure markets with language skills an advantage
- A proven ability to initiate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, including account management
- Negotiation and closure skills.
Education:-
A good degree in an engineering or related technical subject is essential, and a business qualification would be an advantage.
