Senior Sales Leader, South Africa. RAND750,000-RAND950,000 + bonus

My client is a leading wind energy manufacturer and developer. They work to the highest standard and have an endeavour to produce a product that will be of the greatest benefit to the client and the environment as a whole. They are currently looking for a sales manager to join their sales team and add the technical know how to provide the highest quality information and service to potential clients.

Position Overview:
My client is looking to recruit a senior sales manager to develop and manage relationships with utilities, developers and investors. You will be involved in the entire sales operation from initial contact through to project development and maintain a strong relationship with the customer through this process.

Responsibilities:-
- You will report directly to the Director of sales in one of the most recognized wind companies in the world gaining market connections that will put you in an excellent position within the industry
- You will lead negotiations in sales of wind turbines to developers in South Africa and work closely with the international team to best expand to company growth
- Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services
- Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
- Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the renewable energy company

Education:-
- Must have strong educational background and knowledge of the wind energy market

Core Requirements:-
- You will have 2-5 years commercial or sales experience
- You will have expereince in the wind industry either onshore or offshore
- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry
- Management experience is a bonus
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent report writing ability

General Requirements:-
- Ability to travel frequently to client sites
- Ability to live and work in South Africa
- Proficient with making impactful presentations
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
- Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-
Wind Industry, negotiations experience, business development and sales of wind turbines or wind developments in Poland, wind turbine manufacturer, developer, energy, management is a bonus and team leadership.
