Manage delivery of project outcomes that contributes to the development of our science vision in the field of ecosystem-based management of natural resources, particularly for coastal and marine socio-ecological systems, and in partnership with key stakeholders and scientific collaborators, including other CSIRO Divisions and Flagships. Lead original and innovative research to contribute to the development of CSIRO’s approaches to ecosystem–based multiple-use management, which will contribute to the development and integration of a suite of catchment-to-coast ecosystem models. Contribute to the processes of scientific and strategic planning undertaken by the relevant CSIRO Divisional and Flagship Stream(s), Theme(s) and Research Group(s). Ensure benefit in delivery of the research portfolio and anticipate needs to government, industry and society. Communicate research results to clients and the scientific community through publications, oral and written reports. Maintain active national and/ or international research collaborations in order to access and share leading edge concepts and technology to advance research. Identify and create funding opportunities in ecosystem modelling and natural-resources-management, particularly for integrated catchment-coastal-marine ecosystems. Manage and Lead a team of research staff, enhancing science capability, quality and impact. Undertake other scientific activities as directed by CSIRO senior management.
