£29,972 to £35,788 per annum Conservation of Houbara Bustard in Uzbekistan The postholder will contribute to research for sustainable management of Houbara Bustard in the southern Kyzylkum Desert, Uzbekistan. The desert is intensively grazed, but effects of pastoralism on habitat quality and ecosystem function are unknown. The postholder will undertake fieldwork; analyse data; produce reports; draft papers for publication and manage logistics and Research Assistants. The successful applicant will have a PhD in ecology (or equivalent) and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. This full-time post is available from 1 November 2011 for a period of 4 years and 11 months to 30 September 2016. Closing date: 12 noon on 10 October 2011 |
