SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER/ PROJECT OFFICER (PALM PROGRAMME)

based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

to expand our work to implement their responsibly sourcing policies by tackling issues on the ground and scaling up transformation across connected supply chains, from businesses to smallholder farmers.

Responsibilities and Scope

? Support development and/ or review of company’s responsible sourcing policies
? Conduct supply chain mapping and analysis
? Support project manager in monitoring work plans and collaborate with the Palm Programme team to deliver commitments
? Produce reports (for internal and external audiences) to communicate activities and report progress
? Support the preparation of concept notes and proposals related to the implementation of responsible sourcing practices for businesses and/ or donors

Requirements – Candidate Profile Minimum Qualifications

? Master’s / Bachelor degree or other equivalent higher level training in environmental science, business, social science, international development or other related field
? Advanced writing and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
? Minimum two years working experience, preferably in the consumer goods sector in supply chain management, procurement or quality control
? Good understanding of business supply chains and sourcing issues
? Keen interest in environmental and social issues in Malaysia, preferably related to palm oil industry
? Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Programme suite etc.

Language skills:

? English proficiency
? Bahasa Malaysia fluency

? Hands-on, practical, innovative;
? Flexibility, takes initiative/proactive and positive attitude;
? Ability to work within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team;
