Human behaviour is a central factor facilitating and driving wildlife trade, and in ensuring solutions to some of the consequences arising from illegal and unsustainable trade and associated risks such as zoonosis. As part of the new phase of the Wildlife-TRAPS project, TRAFFIC will develop social and behaviour change approaches that reduce the sale and consumption of wild animals traded in illegal and unregulated markets for meat, medicinal and pet purposes. This post will take lead responsibility for driving forward this work, in close collaboration with other members of TRAFFIC’s social and behaviour change team and an external Community of social and behavioural science experts and practitioners (www.ChangeWildlifeConsumers.org). Project activities will include work in Asian and African countries.
