A global leader in Water and Wastewater engineering solutions, our client is part of a 6000 person global team. Within Australia the team has delivered some of the country’s largest and most innovative water projects and is on track to continue their success and growth in the next 12 moths.  With this growth in mind, they currently seek a Senior Project Manager to work from Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.

Ultimately, your role will be to manage the delivery of water and wastewater projects from planning, through execution and close-out, to meet client and company expectations.

Specifically, you will be required to:

•    Plan, program and coordinate the specific projects, as Project Manager, to deliver the agreed outputs on budget, on time and to quality standards
•    Prepare expressions of interest and proposals, and carry out other appropriate marketing initiatives
•    Organise tender documents, evaluate tenders and contracts
•    Develop and mentor junior staff
•    Complete all work in line with internal Core Values and in accordance with Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures

To be considered for this role you will need to:

•    Be a professionally qualified Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
•    Possess a minimum 8 years’ relevant experience after graduation
•    Be a fully competent technical or support role specialist able to maintain high professional standards in the field of civil engineering design
•    Have proven abilities to directly participate in and support the sales and account management process
•    Be able to interface with clients and build and maintain lasting, positive relationships
•    Have the skills necessary to manage a program or project, including managing relationship with project associates, delivering on project tasks, budgets, scope and risk etc
•    Be capable of defining and setting the direction for a team, project or product. This includes skills such as strategy development, change management and corporate stewardship
•    Be able to make quality business decisions as well as to identify, assess, evaluate and solve problems
•    Be professional and confident with the essential, basic business and communication skills that are required for career growth in all positions
•    Undertake brief interstate and/or overseas travel, from time to time.
