Senior Project Manager, Cape Town

My client is a leading European Consultancy who provides expert advice to renewable energy projects from the initial development up until construction.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be the main point of contact between the consultancy and the client, providing expertise advice on renewable energy projects from initial development through to pre construction.

Responsibilities:-
• Following Projects with customers
• Participate in project needs from feasibility studies up to pre construction
• Assist with financial aspects including the submission of due diligence reports
• Manage younger members of the team
• Take a leading role on both wind and solar projects

Education:-
• Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline

Core Requirements:-
• A minimum of 5 years working experience within either the wind or solar industry
• Previous experience working for either a renewable energy consultancy, developer or operator
• A well rounded knowledge of renewable energy project development

General Requirements:-
• Technically minded
• Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Key Skills
Project Management experience, Good knowledge of the South African renewable market,
