My client is a leading US based developer of residential, commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects. As a result of their sustained success in Europe they are expanding their project development team in Europe, so are looking for a senior on-site project manager to oversee all the technical issue on all onsite activities and installations of commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects.
Responsibilities:-
- On-site investigation on target projects
- Carry out full electrical installation - all D.C. cabling from panels to inverters, installation of inverter an AC/DC isolators, all cabling from inverter to consumer unit, via power generation meter, and complete testing of installation prior to commissioning.
- Review the technical drawings and other technical information as provided by EPC partners
- Regular on-site visit during construction
- Carry out inspection and testing
- Setting up of any additional equipment required
- Propose technical requirement in the EPC, O&M contract
- Long term cost down solutions and performance improvement solutions
- Oversee inspections and testing
- Site inspection and preliminary lay-out of the plants,
- Planning and control of the necessary safety precautions (messages at assembly insurance, safety devices etc.)
- Production of technical detail designs
- Oversee the design, installation, and service of commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) energy systems
- Communicate with sales representatives regarding customers needs
- Coordinate installation crews
- Schedule inspections by local municipalities and internal quality inspections
Requirements:-
- At least 3-5 years relevant solar photovoltaic (PV) design experience with a proven track record within this area
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detecting realistic solutions
- Willingness to travel to sites around Europe
- Must speak fluent German & English
- On-site DD(due diligence and O&M(operations & maintenance) management experience
- Must be willing to travel as this role covers the entire European market.
- Must have a strong educational background, with an electrical engineering degree (Masters desirable)
